Jennifer Vancini is the Founding General Partner of Mighty Capital, a product-first venture capital firm. A venture investor and ecosystem builder, she has spent her career helping companies with frontier technology define and shape emerging sectors, from security and mobile to cloud and AI. As a partner at a product-first firm, she invests through the Product Alpha Effect, Mighty Capital’s data-backed framework for identifying outlier companies, and her work has been recognized on the Kauffman Fellows Top 30 and Power100. Mighty Capital’s investments include Amplitude (NASDAQ: AMPL), Netskope (NASDAQ: NTSK), and Groq.
Jennifer focuses on companies building frontier technology in sectors she has helped shape across her career, including security, mobile, cloud, and AI. As a product investor at a product-first firm, she evaluates opportunities through the Product Alpha Effect while bringing an ecosystem builder’s view of how a product scales into a market and how partnerships accelerate that growth.
Jennifer spent two decades in corporate development, taking a company public and leading M&A and strategic partnerships at Certicom, Symbian/Nokia, and Telefonica Digital, where she built a secure e-commerce consortium with MasterCard and the US Treasury and launched the world’s first mobile VPN product. She then spent a decade investing in private companies through Pointgrey Partners, the family office she built. It was during this time that she met SC Moatti, Mighty Capital’s Founding Managing Partner and founder of Products That Count, the product leadership community that reaches 600,000+ product leaders worldwide. When SC suggested they start a venture firm together to capitalize on that network, it made sense: Jennifer had spent her career monetizing ecosystems. She holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia, where she chaired the Applied Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council, and a B.Sc. in Business.

Jennifer was raised in the Midwest and has lived, worked, and studied in the US, Canada, London, Geneva, and Vienna. She relocated from Toronto to San Francisco in 1997 to immerse herself in the world’s leading innovation hub and growth engine. Her family supports philanthropic causes in education, the environment, public health, the arts, and food and housing security. They spend their free time outdoors, and preparing her two late-teen kids for their own adventures.
